The Macallan 30 Years Old is the pinnacle expression of the Fine Oak range and is matured in three exceptional oak cask types. This complex combination of casks exudes complexity and smoothness in an incomparable way, with notes of sandalwood, vanilla and black cherry. The Macallan 30 Years Old is a rare and rarefied whisky. The time spent maturing in carefully selected European and American oak casks which have previously held Sherry or Bourbon creates a rich, intense liquid, with a deep colour achieved wholly naturally through the interaction between spirit and wood.The Macallan 30 Years Old with all the Fine Oak series is matured in a combination of both ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks

The Macallan 30 Years Old TASTING NOTES

Nose
The nose is quite firm with a good body. Notes of spicy marmalade, winter spice and a sherried sweetness. A little herbal note picks up.
Taste
The palate is quite dry and full. Notes of rich winter spice and ground ginger and cinnamon. The oak is full and very chewy.
Finish
The finish is of good length with an oaked backcloth.

Thirty year old Macallan is a rare and rarefied whisky.
