Presenting the Willett XCF Exploratory Cask Finish Rye Whiskey, which embodies the Willett family’s longstanding legacy of crafting the finest Kentucky Bourbon and Kentucky Rye Whiskey. In 1936, at the young age of 27, Thompson Willett established the Willett Distillery, near the family farm that was owned by his father, Lambert Willett.
The following year, on St. Patrick’s Day, the distillery produced its first batch of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey – 300 bushels or approximately 30 barrels. The newly produced Bourbon was stored in rickhouses built on elevated land, ensuring optimal maturation with fresh air circulation.
Today, Thompson Willett’s descendants continue to produce exceptional Kentucky Bourbon and Kentucky Rye Whiskey at the same location that has been in operation for over 80 years. In 2011, the family opened a visitor center and tasting room offering daily tours and a selection of rare releases of Single Barrel and Small Batch Willett Family Estate Bottled Bourbon and Rye Whiskeys.
