Chattanooga Whiskey 10th Anniversary Blend <\/strong>\u00a0recently announced the release of its Founder\u2019s 10th Anniversary Blend. This whiskey, formulated by Chattanooga\u2019s Founder and CEO Tim Piersant, marks a major milestone for the company.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are not only celebrating 10 years of Chattanooga Whiskey<\/a>,\u201d Piersant said in a prepared statement, \u201cbut also celebrating the blending of the past, present, and future of Chattanooga Whiskey.\u201d<\/p>\n In the spring of 2012, Chattanooga Whiskey began blending and bottling\u00a01816<\/em>, a whiskey that Piersant explained \u201chelped overturn century old distilling laws.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n While eventually succeeded by Chattanooga\u2019s own signature\u00a0Barrel 91<\/em>\u00a0recipe, the whiskey\u2019s impact wasn\u2019t forgotten.<\/p>\n The Founder\u2019s 10th Anniversary Blend is made up of three whiskey recipes distilled in both Chattanooga, Tennessee and Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and includes two Tennessee High Malt<\/a> mash bills, known as\u00a0Smoked<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0SB091<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe combination of traditional and innovative mash bills showcases the unique influence and balance between the three whiskeys,\u201d said Grant McCracken, Chattanooga\u2019s head distiller. \u201cThe flavor profile boasts of notes of root beer float, black cherry, toasted oak and toffee bar, with hints of cedar and sweet smoke.\u201d<\/p>\n After three to four years of primary and secondary aging, casks of the original \u201c1816\u201d recipe (the third mash bill featured in the blend \u2013 known as\u00a01816RES<\/em>) are transferred into Chattanooga Whiskey\u2019s 650 gallon charred oak\u00a01816<\/em>\u00a0Barrel.<\/p>\n It\u2019s here that casks of different ages blend together until ready for the Anniversary Blend bottling.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
